Critics 47 Ronin

My favorite movie of all time. Cinematic pinnacle. Develops slowly, excellent story
Somewhat disappointing, given its reputation. 47 Samurai (1962). Can other viewers clarify something?
If you've never seen this, rent the DVD. Good samurai action movie. One of the greatest cultural gifts to the world of the 20th century.
A masterpiece finally available in the West. An excellent film but with an acquired taste. Very good ... and one of 457 versions of these historical events!
Very satisfying. One of the best!. Overwhelming, brilliant, magnificent!
The family tale receives an unreconstructed treatment. One of the two best movies I have ever seen. Reputable, but confusing
A beautiful tribute to the most famous royal history of Japan. A must see ... captivating and beautiful
A great movie almost unknown. Disappointing. The most famous adaptation of a story much loved in Japan but little known elsewhere.
