Description

We could say that El halcón maltés made a mark after its theatrical release, reaping huge box office sales.
In year 1931 there were many premieres and one of them was this movie.
The cast of this film (Bebe Daniels, Ricardo Cortez, Dudley Digges, Una Merkel, Robert Elliott) has had to spend long months traveling and shooting with all the effort that this implies.

As you may have seen, there are many people involved in the making of a film and therefore, a figure is necessary to coordinate all that chaos and decide when no one knows exactly what to do. Roy Del Ruth has been the person in charge of directing the entire film.
The film stretches for 80 min..
One of the countries with the most films created in the history of cinema is United States and this film is one of them.

We love the way Maude Fulton, Brown Holmes, Dashiell Hammett and his team have managed to convey the message of the film through the script.
Warner Bros. has been the production company that has given life to this project and for which it has been carried out due to its large initial investment.
The music of this film comes from the hand of Leo F. Forbstein.

The photography of this film has been spectacular for us and this result has been thanks to the work of William Rees.
Viewers who like the Film noir, Intrigue, Drama, Comedy genre really enjoy these kinds of movies. Are you one of them?

Critics El halcón maltés

The first Hollywood crack, and far from being insignificant, in The Maltese Falcon. Pretty much the 1941 version throughout much of the movie! Positively oozing sex !!!
A very good first version of the Maltese Falcon. In search of a valuable statuette. Well if I'm selling it I'm selling it to the highest bidder
Amazing how two versions can differ. Very different from Bogart's version. Not bad the first version (which John Huston must have seen!)
Maltese Falcon Lite. I like more. I enjoyed this 1931 version of the movie
This movie was much better than I expected. Not Bogart, but still fun. It's not bogart
The 1941 film borrowed a lot from this one. What does this movie have in common with The Prisoner of Zenda ?. The original screen version of The Maltese Falcon
The blackbird. Both versions are equally entertaining. Good forerunner of the classic '41!
Here is plain speaking and clear understanding. Don't worry honey, it's just me, Sam, the man from the store. Add a new dimension to the classic version
The much sexier precoded version!
