One of the points in favor of this film is how the cast (Elizabeth Taylor, Diana Rigg, Len Cariou, Lesley-Anne Down, Hermione Gingold) does not work well individually, but they have managed to create a magical space together.

The person in charge of the entire direction of this film was Harold Prince.
Enjoying 124 min. the duration of the film is one of the best plans to disconnect.
The film industry exists in practically every country in the world, but this feature film belongs to United States.

The script was created by Hugh Wheeler, Ingmar Bergman.
The film has been generated by the large production company S&T-Film Berlin.
Can you imagine seeing a movie without music to accompany the story? It would be all a waste and more if the team of musicians is directed and formed by Stephen Sondheim as it is in this case.

You can see the good work of Arthur Ibbetson in the details of the light, the framing, the movements of the cameras and even in the position of the characters.
The genre of Comedy, Musical, Romance is one of the most widely used in film and this is because it tends to work well with audiences.

Critics A Little Night Music

Nice try, but Rigg is the reason to see this! Considering everything is really pretty good! Is it strange that I had higher hopes for this one?
Better than I thought it would be, but not a classic yet. A missed opportunity. Why did they alter the perfection?
Unbelievably bad. What a tragedy. . . Deserves a DVD release
Liz Taylor sends the clowns. It is not as bad as some say. Not definitive but definitely underrated
Absolutely horrible! Dame Diana Rigg is a goddess !!! From a masterpiece to a failure!
Perfectly gruesome adaptation of a crisp and whimsical musical. Mess-two-three, bad-two-three. Lovely places and talented artists but a waste.
La Liz is La Grand. If you're a Sondheim fan, you'll be excited ~ but I'm a regular movie buff. Jewels in the mud
I think I know why this is so bad. Not bad, but not quite right either. Mis-terpiece badly blamed
One of the worst screen adaptations of one of the best Broadway musicals.
