Biografía de Gloria Jean
Gloria Jean was born on April 14, 1926, in Buffalo, New York, USA. She was the daughter of a music teacher and a housewife. Gloria started singing and performing at a young age, winning her first singing contest when she was only three years old. Her father was impressed by her talent and started teaching her music.
At the age of six, Gloria had her first professional singing gig, performing on a radio show in Buffalo. She continued performing on various radio programs and in local theaters. In 1938, she entered a national singing contest on the Major Bowes Amateur Hour show and won first place, catching the attention of record producer, Joe Pasternak.
Pasternak signed Gloria to a seven-year contract with Universal Studios. In 1939, she made her film debut in "The Under-Pup" and went on to star in 21 films for Universal. Gloria's natural talent and pure voice made her a hit with audiences, and she quickly became one of the most popular child stars of the 1940s.
Despite her success, Gloria's career slowed down in the 1950s as she transitioned into adult roles. She appeared in a few films and television programs, but her career never reached the same heights as her child star days. She eventually retired from acting in 1962 and pursued a career in real estate.
In her personal life, Gloria married four times and had two children. She was an advocate for animal rights and owned several pets throughout her life. Gloria passed away on August 31, 2018, at the age of 92, leaving behind a legacy as one of Hollywood's brightest child stars.
